Dear Trail Runners and Walkers,
Karkloof100 was born out of long conversations out in the mountains during epic adventures and in little log cabins around a roaring fire with good friends, Jack and Michelle.
The kind of friends that you call in a crisis. When you can’t see the truth of a situation. The first people you think of when the next epic (crazy) adventure presents itself.
The kind of friendship you would never risk by going into business together…
But here we are, going into our 5th year. Not only has Karkloof100 flourished, but it has evolved beautifully. Jack is now in the driving seat and what was one race, has become a full series of 4 races. The Karkloof Trail Series.
The first race in the new KTS series kicks off tomorrow. We couldnt be more proud. And we cannot wait for our friends to arrive so we can catch up, and do this cool thing together!

Fired up to watch 70 brave (crazy?) Backyard Ultra runners push themselves to their personal limits this weekend? Feeling a touch of the FOMO?
The good news is that entries for the 2021 #KarkloofTrailMarathon are OPEN! Join us for a 42.2(ish)km, 21km or 10km on the Karkloof trails.
The trails are very “runnable”, so recruit a roadie and let’s do this!
