This March KZNTR heads back to the beauty of KZN’s coast with two cracker events – the Blythedale and Rocky Bay Trails.
Both venues now hugely popular with the local trail community, they offer a perfect way to connect with nature along the coast. Each bringing a unique experience, you can expect to be stunned throughout your trail.
With the beach within minutes from each venue, you can enjoy a post-trail swim in the warmth of the Indian Ocean.
The KZNTR family and our team of fantastic service providers will treat you to some of the best hospitality under the sun!

Blythedale Trail Run

- Venue: Blythedale Event Bowl, Blythedale
- Distances: 5km | 12km | 20km

Diverse courses moving through the cooling shade of indigenous forest, past alluring estuary and mangrove swamps with an adventure around every corner.

Rocky Bay Trail Run
- Date: Sunday, 29th March 2020
- Venue: Rocky Bay Resorts, Park Rynie.
- Distances: 6km | 12km | 20km
- Cost: R110 | R150 | R190

Courses take participants through lush local forest, rustling sugarcane, old orchards with views of the ocean through your morning.

Drakensberg Northern Trail is KZNTR’s first longer distance event of the year and situated halfway between Durban & Joburg, it has always been very popular for the mountain goats of the trail world.
But with the introduction of the Mountain Marathon Series, the event has seen more interest than ever before!
As a result, the 40km and 20km events are sold out – there are still some 5km and 10km entries available.
We know that this is sad news for those who were still hoping to soak up some mountain trails. BUT the good news for real mountain mad hatters is that the Mountain Marathon Series entries are still open until 19 March!
This means you can still grab a hugely discounted DNT 40km entry, as part of the series.
So whether you join us for the 10km / 5km events or go all in with the MMS, there is still time to join the vibe!

Dusi Trails, Sunday 3 May 2020 – a wild and untamed experience through the uMsundusi Valley, thick bushveld and roaming wildlife.
Hilton College Trail, Sunday 17 May 2020 – rare access to the Hilton College Nature Reserve, quiet pine plantations and aloe-studded cliffs.
Honey Trails, Sunday 31 May 2020 – forested valleys of Honey Hill, flowing single track and a variety of wildlife.
