Dear Trail Runners and Walkers,
We’re looking forward to enjoying the final toasty stages of summer on the gorgeous coastal trails of Blythedale Coastal Estate. Taking place on Sunday 10th, the Blythedale Trail Run has proven more popular each time it is staged and we can’t say we’re surprised!
It’s a trail event that has so much to offer, not least the incredibly diverse trails that are incorporated. Participants can experience dense indigenous forest, pristine beaches, estuarine mangroves as well as quiet plantation and sugar cane tracks all in a mornings outing! One may also be lucky enough to glimpse some of the very special animal and birdlife living in these habitats.
These are trails that are not normally freely accessible to the public, so this is a great opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the north coast. And the whole family can get involved – with three distances of 6km, 13kmand 20km on offer, there’s an event to suit every age, ability and fitness level.
This Sunday sees a change to the start/finish venue and race village, but don’t worry, you can still expect the same scintillating trails! The new start/finish venue will be the Blythedale Coastal Estate Event Bowl, which brings with it some awesome new facilities, including showers so you can freshen up after your run. With the beach just a stone’s throw from the start/finish venue, it makes for the perfect morning out!
