Spring Trail at Hilton College – Sunday

Spring Trail at Hilton College - Sunday.

 - - Mmeli Ndimande will be hosting this weekends KZNTR event.

Dear Trail Runners and Walkers,

We’ve been reminding runners at KZNTR events just how lucky we are to live in such amazing trail running country. KZN has incredible trails through landscapes from the Berg to the Beach. But we also have great access to it, thanks to generous land owners and organisation that are willing to host us – it is a real privilege!

Nowhere more so than Hilton College, where we find ourselves running among zebra and giraffe along the uMngeni River. Just pause and imagine that for a moment. Tell a friend overseas, and you the reaction you will get!!

But here’s the thing – when opportunities like this come up, we often say “next time”… and then never quite get around to it.

So don’t leave this one for next time. This Sunday is an opportunity to immerse yourself in quiet plantations, be awestruck at the views of views over Otto’s Bluff, challenge yourself alongside antelope that make it look so easy, and to belong to a community of fun-loving adventure seekers.

Join us this Sunday at the Hilton College Trail Run and make the most of the incredible opportunities in our own back yard!.

Spring Start Times apply – now 30 minutes earlier!

Lesotho Ultra
Coming Feb 2026

Imagine a race that feels like stepping into another world. High in the Tsehlanyane National Park, Maliba Mountain Lodge sits tucked at the base of a dramatic, 360° amphitheatre of  peaks rugged mountains. The gateway to a trail running adventure like no other. This is where the Maluti Mountain Challenge was born back in 2013, with a sold-out field right from the start.

Space at the remote lodge is limited, even with our pop-up campsite for 50 runners and families. Out on the trails however, there’s nothing but freedom and space. The mountains rise up to over 3,200m, and even the 21km route carries you above 2,700m – thin air, big skies, endless views.

On crossing the border into Lesotho, everything feels immediately different. The rhythm, the landscape – you can’t quiet put your finger on it, but you feel it. As you drive through villages, alongside agricultural fields and past donkey carts, with the wall of peaks drawing ever closer, anticipation builds. You know you are in for an experience unlike any other…

Lesotho Ultra has a big reputation for for good reason. Come test your limits and see why…
