Andrew & Lauren move on from KZNTR
Dear Trail Runners and Walkers,
It is hard to put into words the impact that KZNTR has had on our lives. Something grown from one small seed and has taken the shape of a forest. A period that predates our marriage and is all our children have ever known. That has seen us grow from a two-man band, with a group of loyal family & friends who stayed up late and got up early to bring our vision about, to a company that travels the country, hosting people nearly every weekend.
We have had experiences that have taught us so much, shaped our thinking and moulded us into who we are now. We have met people who have taught us valuable lessons and enriched our lives in inexplicable ways.
We have witnessed peoples’ humanity, time and again on the trails.
The thought of not having KZNTR in our lives week in & week out, is quite frankly, incomprehensible. But we are more than our roles at KZNTR and KZNTR is much more than either of us.

So while the past 14 years have been challenging, rewarding, humbling, magnificent, it is time to find out what else we may be.
While Sanele Dladla is still a 51% shareholder and will continue to manage the event logistics and routes, Brian Berlein is taking over our share of KZN Trail Running, as well as DNT and Mnweni.
Many of you will know Brian from Honey Trails. Someone with a deep connection to the natural environment and desire to share that.
It is very important to us that the future of KZNTR is in good hands, and we are confident that Sanele and Brian will make a great team, bringing together Brian’s energy with Sanele’s wealth of knowledge.
What's next for the Booths
This does not mean that the Booths are disappearing completely.
We will still be using all that we have learnt to host the 4 races that remain under our directorship, but giving ourselves space for new opportunities. You can catch us at these events:
Kruger2Canyon Challenge,
Soutpansberg Mountain Marathon,
Uitsoek Mountain Marathon and
Lesotho Ultra.
