Howick Trail Run
Howick Trail Run starts and finishes at Le Petit France Cafe along the Karkloof Road and has established itself as one of the most beautiful farm-style trail runs on the calendar.
The venue has fantastic facilities, serving as the Karkloof Farmers Market every Saturday, and the Howick Trail Run serves as the only opportunity to run this stunning farmland. Views into the Umngeni Valley below are always a treat, as is the coffee and sweet treats from the cafe afterwards!

1000 Hills this weekend!

Sanele Dladla and Rory Scheffer will be your hosts this weekend at 1000 Hills. It’s Sanele’s backyard and he is very excited to show you what it’s made of if you haven’t experienced yet. While Rory is often behind the lens, this weekend he will take up a position on the mic and guide you through what promises to be an awesome day of trails.

It’s predicted to be warm on Sunday, so we have adjusted the start times to make the most of the early cool.
The first batch of each distance is now:
38km – 6.30am
21km – 7.15am
10km and 5km – 7.45am

Cascades PMB - SLF Race
Looking ahead the entries are starting to flow in for the first race of the INSPIRE Series where we are partnering with the Southern Lodestar Foundation.
Chief in charge is well-known Pietermaritzburg Runner, Mdu Zondi. He has already laid out some beautiful courses through the Cascades Trail Park. The vibe is likely to be pretty special as we gather once again as the trail running community.
If you enter before 10 September you will also get the EARLY BIRD pricing.
The other two events in the INSPIRE Series are with other groups who have had an impact on trail running in KZN and RSA over the last few years, namely LIV VILLAGE and the Inanda Trail Running Club. Check out our race calendar for all the info.
