New Coastal Series Venue, Kids Pricing & 1000 Hills Unplugged…

New Coastal Series Venue...

Dear Trail Runners & Walkers,

The return to trails has been a truly joyous one for us all. Seeing familiar faces after so long. Feeling the soft trails underfoot as friends banter ahead or behind you. Soaking up the natural environment and its healing energy.

We are stoked to be bringing a new venue into the Coastal Series in place of Kenneth Stainbank, that we know will excite you as much as us…

Coastal Series – Zululami Seaton Trail!
A popular event at Seaton in Spring 2019, the race venue is moving to the Zululami Luxury Coastal Estate entrance. From here the routes will be even better than before, with both the 20km and 10km venturing onto the pristine beach and the 5km route now also taking in stunning sea views.

5km | 10km | 20km (exact routes to be mapped & shared next week)
Batched starts from 6am

Expect a mix of indigenous forests, canelands and grasslands. Expect boardwalks, beach, jeep track and single track. Expect an epic morning!

DNT Entries Re-Open!

Starting with Rocky Bay on 18 October 2020 kids pricing is back on the list of entries at KZNTR.

It was removed when we had to restrict our entry numbers in line with our COVID protocols. But with Government approved protocols allowing us to increase the size of our fields we are super stoked to be able to sell junior entries at the 50% discount they always used to be.

Kidszone will not be operational just yet, but we are working on that too!

1000 Hills Unplugged

An event that simply never made it out of the blocks in 2020 is making a come back on 15 November in the form an unplugged version. So what does this mean exactly?

We have shifted the venue across to the other side of the scenic Nagle Dam onto a newly established community site where there is no power. Instead of trying to set up something fancy, we are keeping it simple and earthy and support the local community to a greater extent than we have before. After all, it is their land and trails that we run on, and while they have benefited in the past through work created, being the venue takes that to a new level.

Other than an amazing trail, we will make sure there is good food, coffee, beer and of course that community side we have all been deprived of in 2020.

Sadly PheZulu Trail Run that was scheduled to take place on this exact date is now off the KZNTR calendar.
