End the year off in a flamboyant way – the Flaming Flamingo has arrived!
The Flaming Flamingo is a 6-hour fixed-time event that can be entered as individuals or a team relay as we run / walk our way through the final hours of 2019.
Run your own experience and crush your boundaries on the 1,7km course that is perfect for your first (or 100th) ultra. Want to take a dinner break and chill on the lawn for an hour or two? Okay! Want to challenge yourself and push further than you’ve ever gone? Go for it! Want to socialize and run with old and new mates every lap? Done!
The best part? There are no DNFs at Flaming Flamingo! You can finish at any time during the 6 hours and that will be recorded. The final lap will start by 11:50pm at latest, allowing everyone to finish at 11:59:59pm for the ceremonial lighting of the flamingo (please note that no live flamingos will be harmed!).
The whole family can join in for the year-end trail jol! The KZNTR KidZone will be available to look after your little ones (2yrs+). A large play area is available for their entertainment, kids pump track and mattresses if they need a nap.
A fully stocked aid station will be provided at the start / finish area and Seasons Café will be open all evening. You are also invited to set up your own crew station for a more personalised experience!

The opening special has come & gone, but you can still be an Early Bird!!
2020 Early Bird entries are available for the Karkloof100 & 50miler until 1 December 2019.
Early Bird entry includes:
👉 Free entry into the 2020 Karkloof100 training camp
👉 Dormitory or self-camping accommodation at WESSA uMngeni Nature Reserve for Friday and Saturday night.
Thereafter the Training Camp will be R500pp and accommodation for runners to arrange.
