Continuing the trend of providing adventures at the most appealing trail running venues in KZN, the final event in the Coastal Series takes place this weekend on Sunday 28th October at Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve.
This surprising hidden gem in Durban is a trail enthusiasts paradise, offering an exciting network of stunning trails through dense indigenous bush and open flowing grassland, populated with a wide array of animal and birdlife.
Steeped in history
The start / finish venue is the grounds of the historic Coedmore Castle where entrants will be provided with a fascinating glimpse into a part of Durban’s rich and varied history.
Built in 1885, this majestic old homestead was originally a dairy and still features the original 19th century furniture and personal artifacts!
Accessible and family friendly!
Once out on the trails you could be forgiven for thinking you’d travelled hours to get out of the city to escape into nature. Only the occasional glimpse of Durban’s famous skyline serves as a reminder that you are in its’ very heart – a wonderfully eclectic experience!
With three distances to choose from, the KZNTR KidZone on site, as well as interesting tours of the Castle, it’s a morning out with something to offer all members of the family. All ages, abilities and fitness levels are catered for!
