Soaking up the January trail vibes

Howick Trail this Sunday

Booth family here to host!

Dear Trail Runners and Walkers.

Thank you to those of you who started January with us at Kenneth Stainbank. Honestly, what a way to kick off the year! The vibe was incredible, the castle grounds were alive, and it felt so good to be back in that familiar KZNTR rhythm with you all. That shared energy on the start line, the laughs afterwards, the conversations, that’s what fills our crew cups!

We were also really excited to introduce Macgrif Nutrition to you. They brought such great energy to the race village (and impromptu MC-ing!), and we loved seeing so many of you stopping to chat, sample, and stock up.

Now we are heading to Howick, and this one is very close to our hearts. It’s our Home Race, and the Booth family is SO excited to be there in person! We don’t know how or why the stars seem to align for us to attend this one so often, but who are we to question it….No watching from afar, hoping the internet signal holds – we will be there early, coffee in hand, catching up and soaking it all in, and we CAN’T WAIT!

So consider this an open invite – come pull in for a trail, a catch up and a bevvy. Bring your friends, Bring your family. Bring your stories from the holidays, and hang around afterwards.

These mornings are about so much more than the run!

Umdoni 100 Miler

Details drop 28 January

There’s been a quiet hum building around this one, and now we can finally put a date to it.

On 28 January, we will be releasing all the details of the Umdoni 100 Miler, South Africa’s newest 100-mile trail race, taking place in Umdoni Park over the first weekend of August.

That’s the day the full picture comes into focus.
The course.
The loop format.
The times and programme.
Accommodation options in and around Umdoni.

And yes, entries will open at the same time, with a 48-hour opening special.

What you already know is that this is a looped 100 miler set in a landscape that shifts and surprises. Forest, river, beach. What you don’t yet know is how it all stitches together, how much climbing it delivers, or how the miles will test and reward you. That’s coming.

Entries will be limited, and this will be an inaugural race. If you want to be there at the start of something new, it’s important to be ready when entries open.

All details and entries will launch via the KZN Trail Running website, and we’ll be sharing build-up and reminders on our social media channels in the lead-up to 28 January.

Save the date.
Follow along.
And get ready to meet Umdoni properly!

More coming soon…

See you on the trails!
