Don't miss iconic Table Mountain!
Cultural Experience at Winter Series Table Mountain Trail…
KZNTR’s Sanele, Lucky & Sizwe all grew up and live in the Table Mountain area (Maqonqo), so this is their home race and very close to their hearts. And being one of KZNTR’s longest-standing and most unique events on the calendar, you are in for a treat at the opening event in the 2022 Winter Series!
If you haven’t ever run this one, trust us and DO IT! It is a trail experience, a cultural experience and boasts downright spectacular mountain views!
The “something special” here is the venue, school, community and mountain…. the local flair and dancing, beat of the drums and views to the ocean and mountains. Running along clifftops overlooking Nagle Dam, down into the uMzunduzi River, past wetlands spilling into waterfalls and sunken forests.
These are the kind of things that can’t be manufactured – they come together completely organically to make magic!
Please note the start times.

Soutpansberg Mountain Marathon
We are immensely proud to share with you our brand new logo!
The Soutpansberg logo is inspired by the colours of the sky nestled amongst the mountains, particularly at dawn or dusk, with the illusive leopard playing a subtle nod of appreciation to the very important conservation work done in the area by the Endangered Wildlife Trust and the rangers.
Without their help, putting together this race would not be possible.
All races begin from the Schoemansdal Environmental Education Centre, at the base of the Soutpansberg Mountain Range. The road is easily accessible with a variety of accommodation options on-site and many lodges within a 30 minute drive.

Working your passion...
Andrew studied broadly at university, partly because he was unsure of what he wanted to do. After 7 years of study, he left with a B.Com and B.Sc Hons in Ecology. He then spent a few years working for an NGO before resigning and started practising as a consultant in the environmental industry. πΏ
Andrew always had a passion for running and the outdoors, and trail running was an establishing sport that he became very interested in. πββοΈ
By 2012 he had made leaps and bounds with more than 10 events every year, and by 2015 it became a full-time job, for both Andrew and his wife Lauren. Now it’s a full-on family business whereby they travel wide and far as a family of 4 to events around South Africa. πΏπ¦
