Routes for Karkloof Marathon!

Get ready for some exciting and fast racing on 20 June at the Karkloof Trail Marathon!

The 42km features the Milk and Honey loops: first showcased at the 2020 KK100 miler, the loops climb through plantation and pastures to the high point before dropping back to the club through smooth, flowing single track winding through quiet forests with dappled light.

The 21km explores the Milk loop, which includes farm roads and pasture paths interspersed with pockets of the indigenous forest, breathtaking climbs, and rolling descents! There is 430m of elevation gain on the 21km route… enough to make your legs burn!

There is a 21km relay option and a 10km race, so that everyone can be a part of the vibe!

Get keen and check out the 21km loop flyover below!

Competition Time for the MMS elites!

After some brainstorming in the KZNTR office – and in the spirit of racing and competition – we have new concept for the sharp end of the Mountain Marathon Series!

For those racing snakes out there – in addition to winning modest prize money for podiuming at any MMS event, a place in the top six in the male or female categories for three of the six Mountain Marathon events will win you a free entry AND a two-night stay at the stunning Alpine Heath Resort in Bergville for the final of the series – the Drakensberg Trail Festival – on the 4th and 5th of December 2021!

With four events left in the series (Kruger2Canyon, Ingeli, Soutpansberg and Uitsoek), there is more than enough time to line up this great challenge!
