Zululami Seaton Trail Run, Batching System, 2021 Calendar

Zululami Seaton Trail Run - 1 November 2020

Dear Trail Runners and Walkers,

After the first running in 2019, Seaton sky-rocketed straight onto the Favorites list for KZN Trail Running participants, and we know why. The lush coastal forests, wetlands and sea views make it a nature-lovers paradise and an incredible morning exploring!

With the move of the Coastal Series Finale to the gates of the Zululami Luxury Coastal Estate, the routes are now even better than before. Traversing the 140ha estate, both the long and medium course will run onto the pristine beach and the short course will take in 180degree sea views. All routes will move long the shady, forested boardwalks.

With trail gear available, quality food and coffee for your pre-& post-race fuel and a buzzing trail community, this will be a morning to remember in a magnificent setting!

2021 Calendar

Next week we will be launching our 2021 calendar with some old, some new and some making a comeback…

Check out the scribble draft above, it may well change as we confirm dates with each venue, but it’s the backbone of what looks like a very promising 2021.

Batching System

Our new batching system implemented as part of our COVID protocols is proving largely successful. In fact, the only part that we are still finding a bit glitchy is the timing and final results, but we are working on our barcode system and should iron those out soon.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

At number collection (race day registration) you will be able to select what batch you wish to start in regardless of the distance you have entered. Batches go off every 15 minutes from 6 am and are limited to 100 runners. So if the batch you want is full (very unlikely) then you can start 15min later.

Early short course starts, families running different distances starting together and the flexibility of start times have all proven a huge plus!
