Heal yourself by getting out onto the trail somewhere this weekend.
WESSA teams up with KZNTR to open trails this Saturday
When Game Reserves were given the go-ahead to re-open for trails and self-drives some did not have the capacity to do so, including one of our favorite local spots to run – Umngeni Valley Nature Reserve. But that all changes on Saturday when trailists will be allowed to book their spot through KZNTR and head onto the beautifully kept and varied WESSA Trail Network.
There really are options for everyone with a short stroll through the grasslands with views of Howick Falls, a great little 5km through the Hidden Falls Valley, an intermediate 12km that does a lot of contouring along the edges on the Umngeni Valley. The longest trail in the reserve at the moment is 16km, but we will build on this as time goes on.
Charges – R90 per adult; R45 per child; No charge for season ticket holders.
