Trail Details
With trails opening up under level 3 we are able to offer an incredible opportunity to all those willing and living in KZN to explore the surrounding Midlands at The Barn Owl just outside Howick. As always, KZNTR will cater for all levels whether it be runners, walkers and hikers. The trail will explore the surrounds of The Barn Owl with participants being able to traverse anywhere between 5 and 15km.
But it’s not so much about the distance you spend out there as is it the hours, which at a place like this can be many! So come and join us, it’s just about getting out there!
To make a booking for a trail experience at The Barn Owl, select the relevant quantity of tickets under the Book Here section. Click on the View Event Cart button, ensure that your bookings are correct and then click “Proceed to Registration”. On this page, fill in the required information including the date and time that you wish to attend the trail experience and then click on the “Proceed to Payment Options” to pay for your booking.
- Family groups can start together.
- Individuals must stagger their starts.
- Social distancing and sanitizing will be practiced at the event.
- Please be sure to arrive no more than 30min before your event.

Set in the beautiful midlands and positioned to have amazing views of the valley, The Barn Owl is the next new and exciting addition to the KZNTR trails with up to 15km of trails for runners and hikers alike to explore. It is a family friendly venue and has excellent reviews for their coffees and servings and will provide the perfect getaway.

- Travel north bound on Main Rd.
- Turn right onto Curry’s Post Rd (Howick Medical Center will be on the left).
