The Gilboa Challenge is back!
After a 2024 hiatus, we’re thrilled to return to the legendary climbs of the Karkloof for the finale of our Winter Series. This year’s event is dedicated to Timber Solutions, proud sponsor of our race numbers and long-time supporter of trail running in the region.
Runners will once again take on the iconic ascent to the top of Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall, with sweeping views of Mt Gilboa rewarding the effort. The 15km and 10km routes offer a serious test of strength and stamina on steep, rugged terrain, while the 5km is a more relaxed loop through open grasslands and lush indigenous forest – perfect for soaking up the Karkloof magic.
