Take note of the following compulsory equipment for the 20 and 40km races:

  • 1l Hydration capacity
  • Waterproof Outer Layer
  • Thermal Blanket
  • Basic First Aid – 100 x 5cm strapping
  • Food Reserve (200 calories)
  • Whistle
  • Cellphone with emergency Contact Number

In Cold Conditions – the following additional equipment is required:

  • Long-sleeve thermal base layer
  • Beanie/Scarf
  • Waterproof Gloves
  • Tights/Waterproof pants/Thermals

In Hot Conditions – the following additional equipment is required:

  • 1.5l hydration carrying capacity

Accommodation

Onsite accommodation for the race must be booked directly through the Babanango Reservations Office (reservations@babanango.co.za  or call 031 1000 362). Options include:

  • Classic Safari Tents
    • At Matatane Camp (race start / finish venue)
    • Stretcher and mattress are provided, sleeps 4-6 and includes 3 meals)
  • Basic Safari Tents
    • At Matatane Camp (race start / finish venue)
    • Mattress is provided, sleeps 4-6 and includes 3 meals)

Daily conservation fees of R90pp are payable.

Or a luxury option is available at nearby Zulu Rock Lodge

  • R1800pp sharing
  • Includes all meals, conservation fees & an evening game drive

Special Closes: Midday on Friday, 10 December 2020
Online Entries Close: Midday on Monday, 10 May 2021

Late Entries: 5 and 10km late entries available on the day with a R50 additional charge (U18’s exempt).

Cupless Water Tables

As KZNTR is moving toward the more ecologically friendly cupless water tables, we ask you to please ensure that you bring your own trail cup, water bottles and/or hydration packs for on-course hydration and refills!

Please note that there will be no KZNTR KidZone available at this event.
