Uitsoek Mountain Marathon – a new partnership between the Musica’s and the Booth’s

The KZNTR Team is gleeful to be partnering with Sven & Karen Musica and Arlo van Heerden in presenting the 2019 Uitsoek Mountain Marathon! Having worked closely together on other events, the partnership will allow both parties to focus on their key strengths taking Uitsoek forward into an exciting new space while retaining its core elements as a mountain race.

Having run the trails all over South Africa, Sven felt that trail runners needed to have a chance to experience the unknown beauty in his back yard. Now going into its 5th year, the Uitsoek Mountain Marathon has carved out its niche of a rugged, hardcore experience exploring the Uitsoek Trail in Mpumalanga.

Taking place on 12 October 2019, the event known for its diverse terrain. Taking you through lush indigenous forest and pine plantations, across streams and magical waterfalls, reaching an altitude of 2000m (we’re not kidding!) where open grasslands let you view the Lowveld expanse.
