…getting serious about goals.
So I gave myself a pep-talk yesterday. I’ve been slowly getting fitter, with a few speed bumps along the way (like a week of kicking back on the Wild Coast) but with no serious intent. Coasting. Easy 6km runs. All with the excuse of taking it easy because “I can’t afford to get injured right now”.
But actually, I’m just being lazy and taking the easy way out. Its time to get serious with myself. Do I want to get fit and achieve something this year or not? If so, the time is now. And short, easy run aren’t going to cut it for me anymore. I need to challenge myself.
There is a hill just across the way waiting to be climbed…repeats here I come!!
