Rising temperatures, balmy weather, long days in the sun…there is no denying that summer has arrived. The KZNTR Summer Series has become synonymous with the arrival of summer.
Off the back of a highly successful Coastal Series, this three-legged event is going into its 9th year of offering spectacular sun-kissed trail adventures to runners of all ages and fitness levels. The Summer Series comprises three incredible inland venues and three distances to choose from, making it an accessible event for all to enjoy.
The first leg of the series takes place on November 4 at the scenic and accessible Aloe Wildlife Estate, Camperdown, and will offer 20km, 13km and 6km route options.
The second leg of the series is a true cultural experience, taking place on November 18 at Table Mountain outside Pietermaritzburg and will feature 20km, 12km and 7km route options.
The final event of the series takes place on December 2 at Hilton College and comprises a 20km, 12km and 7km route options.
The Summer Series is known for its festive vibe and is the perfect way to round off an exciting year of trail running. With Thirsti Water as finish line sponsors, participants need not fear the summer heat, although they are encouraged to carry additional hydration on course. For parents, there will be a KZNTR KidZone available to look after children (two years and above), with experienced child minders, fun games and Thirsti for Kids.
There will be coffee and delicious catering available at each race as well as exciting lucky draws and giveaways.
