Following the growth of trail running in KZN and the mounting popularity of coastal venues, KZN Trail Running are incredibly excited to announce the launch of their new series, the Coastal Series! The series will comprise three events as listed below, each featuring a short (approx. 5km) medium (approx. 12km) and long course (approx. 20km).
1st October 2017 – Rocky Bay Resort, Scottburgh
15th October 2017 – Blythedale Coastal Resort, North Coast
29th October 2017 – Kenneth Stainbank, Durban
These venues are all situated within typical KZN coastal vegetation – a stunning mosaic of indigenous grassland and forest… and a KZN coastal trail run wouldn’t be complete without a bit of sugarcane now and then! Routes include a mixture of single track, jeep track and the occasional section of farm road. The indigenous forests that participants will explore are teeming with wildlife – it’s not uncommon to catch a glimpse of antelope and birdlife. Be sure to take in the beautiful and unique flora; all of it is a part of our rich natural heritage!
