Back to work. Back to School. Back to Busy. It’s probably not a good sign that I’m feeling tired already…
I have to make a conscious effort to schedule some time out – time to run, time to sit in the garden or read with the kids. While I know it’s quick & easy to fit in a run around town, making an effort to plan runs on the trail around Howick (we are so fortunate that there are so many) makes it much more intentional and proper foray into nature is always something to look forward to!
A mini-break in my week. Energy. Sanity.
Of course weekends are always made for this and the wild spaces in the midlands offer a great opportunity to foray and The Midlands Series is where we showcase those beautiful open spaces. Gilboa & the Karkloof. The Howick Forests. WESSA. Lion’s River.

Soutpansberg entries opening next week.
The second edition of the Soutpansberg Mountain Marathon takes place on 18 June 2022.
The inagural event was received with rave review from the trail community – an unexplored wilderness with diverse landscapes and vegetation, challenging terrain and a one-in-a-million leopard sighting on trail!
Entries will open on 28 January with a 48Hr Special, so make sure you follow the Facebook links below to receive the notifications first!
