Don’t hibernate this winter – Exciting trail adventures await!

In a week and a half’s time the Winter Series culminates with the 3rd and final event at Pietermaritzburg’s iconic Table Mountain. But there is no shortage of trail adventures in June to keep you warm through the winter!

The winter edition of the WESSA Trail Run takes place on Sunday 17thJune at uMngeni Valley Nature Reserve. Directly adjacent to the town of Howick, once on the trails you would be forgiven for thinking that you were miles away from civilisation of any kind. This hidden gem is a local favourite of ours, not only as a running destination but also when we just need to escape.

As always, the event has something to offer every member of the family, and those of every ability and fitness level. The 5km course is great for the whole family to enjoy, but if the youngest family members are not yet trail ready the KZNTR KidZone will be in action, including the famous WESSA Eco Treasure Hunt!

The 12km and 24km events offer more of a challenge and will explore the stunning valley.
