Course Details

7am – Saturday 22 September 2018

The 50 Miler event is still a great challenge and should not be underestimated despite not being the ultimate distance at the Karkloof100. However, it provides a great stepping stone to those interested in running 100 miles but who don’t feel they are quite ready.

The course design places the 50 Miler start at the turning point (Benvie Garden) of the 100 Miler and runs back to Yard 41 in Howick.

10pm – Friday 21 September 2018

The 100 Miler is considered the ultimate challenge in trail running around the world. To achieve a finish in this distance is a feat that only a few trail runners can claim.

In South Africa, the 100 mile distance is relatively new and the Karkloof100 aims to produce a world class event that will cement itself as one of the ultimate endurance challenges in the country
